According to Bharat Biotech, the partnership intends to create robust cross-organizational and sectoral partnerships in order to develop innovative approaches to combat infectious diseases and epidemics in the future.
The University of Sydney Infectious Diseases Institute and Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to further vaccine research initiatives, fortify industry-academia collaborations, and support international efforts to combat infectious diseases.
In addition to using academia-industry strengths to advance the science of vaccines and biotherapeutics, Bharat Biotech stated in a statement that the collaboration aims to forge strong sectoral and cross-organizational collaborations to design novel methodologies to combat future epidemics and infectious diseases.

India is still spending a lot of money on research and development to create a plan for creating and distributing vaccines in case of a pandemic in the future.
