In a strategic move to combat the growing prevalence of diabetes in India, the Madras Diabetes Research Foundation (MDRF) has joined forces with Chennai-based embedUR Systems, a global leader in AI, Edge Computing, IoT, and Cloud technologies. The partnership aims to co-create advanced artificial intelligence (AI) models for improved diabetic management.

Harnessing the Power of AI for Diabetes Research

The collaboration between MDRF and embedUR Systems seeks to harness the transformative potential of AI in the field of diabetes research. By leveraging AI, the partnership aims to strengthen the efficacy of clinical studies and enhance the quality of diabetes management in India.

Signing of the MoU

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between MDRF and embedUR Systems was signed by Dr. V Mohan, Chairman of the Madras Diabetes Research Foundation (MDRF), and Rajesh C Subramanium, Founder and CEO of embedUR Systems.

Developing Sophisticated AI Models

The collaboration will involve experts from both embedUR Systems and MDRF delving into MDRF’s extensive Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) datasets, which encompass several thousand patients. By utilizing cutting-edge AI computing tools developed by embedUR, the teams will create sophisticated AI models capable of continual learning and refinement.

Ensuring Efficacy and Relevance

Experts from both organizations will work closely to employ various metrics in assessing the efficacy and relevance of the data. This collaborative approach will ensure that the software developed is precisely tailored to address the critical needs in diabetes management, ultimately leading to improved patient outcomes.
