Pristyn Care announced a landmark in patient care-a pilot that enables cashless treatment at non-empaneled hospitals underdeveloped in partnership with Aditya Birla Health Insurance and Park TPA. This will help the IRDAI fulfill its vision of “Insurance for All by 2047” and facilitate additional coverage beyond any traditional network hospitals in order to reduce costs for patients.

Traditionally, patients visiting non-network facilities were required to pay upfront and were thereafter supposed to claim a reimbursement through the insurance providers. Pristyn Care’s new initiative attacks this by taking cashless services to the non-empanelled hospitals and giving the patients access thereto. The scheme would look to foster more confidence in health insurance and address some of the doubts about the validation and payment processes involved in claiming on insurance policies.

This partnership streamlines healthcare delivery due to its eradication of red-tape that most traditional models associate with it. Providing a cashless treatment option, Pristyn Care ensures that the patient can now focus on recovery rather than struggling with complex billing issues.

The new Express Discharge Service promises to cut discharge wait times up to 90%. Another big thing it brings is for Pristyn Care themselves to manage direct interactions with insurers and TPAs to get discharges that usually take a common 6-8 hours in most Indian healthcare settings whittled down to 45 minutes from receiving final approval.

Speaking about the intent of revolutionizing healthcare experiences is Dr. Vaibhav Kapoor, Co-founder of Pristyn Care. “Our research shows that 50% of discharge delays are due to claims processing. The Express Discharge Service is an important step in eliminating these delays and simplifying patient convenience. As we extend cashless treatments to non-network hospitals, we want to break down barriers and make sure the healthcare experience is without stress, right in keeping with the vision of IRDAI.”

The tie-up with Pristyn Care, Aditya Birla Health Insurance, and Park TPA, among others, heralds a pro-active approach in the management of healthcare and insurance. It helps in allowing more seamless access to cashless treatments and further strengthens patient-centric care through the reduction of administrative burdens and discharge delays.

This pilot program with Pristyn Care will draw the patient financial burden to identify further areas for improvement in the healthcare delivery system of India. In that regard, it is indeed a promise to improve the quality of care for patients, accessibility, and overall convenience in their health experiences.
