On India’s Independence Day, the NDTV-Dettol Banega Swasth India campaign marked its impressive nine-year journey. The event featured Campaign Ambassador Amitabh Bachchan, Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, and esteemed Padma award-winning doctors.

Ravi Bhatnagar, Director of External Affairs & Partnerships at SOA, Reckitt, reflected on the campaign’s achievements, highlighting its evolution from a bus tour of 30 cities to covering 100% of aspirational districts. The campaign aims to provide Hygiene Play Parks, focusing on school children and marginalized communities like the Siddi tribes.

Bhatnagar emphasized the campaign’s vision of “Health for All” and its dedication to reaching indigenous populations, especially in neonatal care. He discussed the initiative’s response to climate change, introducing education on the topic and launching Climate Resilient Schools. Bhatnagar expressed the campaign’s ambition to establish a Healthcare Council in India, uniting expertise to address diverse healthcare challenges. He stressed the importance of research and ethnography for a comprehensive understanding of healthcare needs across regions. Ultimately, Bhatnagar aspires to ensure health for every Indian through strategic collaboration and innovative solutions.
