Kindly tell us the source of inspiration. What led you to venture into the Orthodontic care sector?
To see the patients smile, rehabilitate their smile, and help them gain the lost confidence. Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics also help patients transform facial features and help them grow beautiful with the help of facial appliances. This field helps design the most beautiful smiles in the world.
Brief us about the company and shed some light on your operations in leading the firm.
My company name is Dental Delight Superspeciality Dental Clinic. It is based in Nagpur. I am Dr. Rajat S. Bajaj, an Orthodontist and Smile design specialist. I manage all the financial aspects, and execution of all the new treatment goals based on patient’s requirements, along with this, I am a Consultant Orthodontist at many hospitals and clinics within and out of Nagpur. We have another expert associated with us, Dr. Namrata R. Bajaj, who is a Periodontist and Implantologist. She deals with all the gum-related issues and implants within her specialty.
Can you elaborate upon the core values on which the company is built and what its mission and vision is?
The company is built on values of moral responsibility of patients, ethically explaining each and every pro and cons of the treatment to patients, transparency in finances, timely service, High quality materials, no rush strategy is applied, because as my tag line says, “Quality Dentistry Cannot be rushed.”
What Orthodontics services and care measures does the company have to offer to its clients?
In Orthodontics we provide 3dimensional scans when required: Different kinds of Braces like superior quality Metal braces, Monocrystalline and Polycrystalline Ceramic braces, Self-ligating DAMON system braces, Clear aligners which include INVISALIGN, CLEAR CORRECT, KIYOCLEAR and so on. We also provide Orthodontic appliances that fit intraoral and extraoral as required depending on the case. Nowadays many of the appliances we give are manufactured by CAD-CAM technology. They all help in the correction of faulty jaw positions and malocclusion during growing ages.
What role does technology play in enabling a smooth delivery of orthodontic treatment measures for the patients?
Technology helps in saving time for patients and doctors. It helps patients to understand their problems in a 3-dimensional way right from their jaws to teeth, to their facial structure, and with relation to all these concerning soft tissue adaptation. Scanning and new smile simulation software help patients predict the smiles that they will get at the end of treatment. Technology in manufacturing braces and Orthodontic appliances has helped us with the best results and it has also helped patients in better adaptation.
What specific endeavors is the company pursuing at present? Why do you find those essential?
We are trying to approach the patients in small rural places, especially in those places where people are not accessible to decent oral healthcare needs. Also, Dental tourism is the thing we are trying because in foreign countries the most expensive branch is Dentistry, and those patients prefer India to seek the best treatment possible.
What are some of the challenges that the company faces when conducting its operations and how does it turn them into opportunities for growth?
Financial challenges are major ones. Patients’ expectation towards oral health is that they will get everything at minimal cost, but that’s not always possible. For providing patients with quality treatment, we also need finances to purchase good quality materials. Patients spend money on luxury products, but not on healthcare, specifically on oral health, which if not paid proper attention can lead to other major health issues which have been proven all over the world. The government should also insist insurance companies provide at least a good amount of insurance on bigger rehabilitation treatments and jaw correction treatments.
What advice would you like to give to budding enthusiasts who desire to venture into the orthopedics sector?
In today’s healthcare landscape, a growing number of recent postgraduate graduates are opting to offer more affordable treatments in an effort to attract patients. However, some of these practitioners may compromise on the use of proper diagnostic tools, fail to adequately inform patients about treatment options, and employ low-quality materials during dental procedures. I kindly urge these professionals to consider delivering high-quality treatments, charging a fair fee that allows patients to feel content, and conducting their practices in an ethical manner. My motivation for this request stems from the fact that we often receive cases requiring re-treatment, with patients expressing concerns about these issues.
How do you envision scaling the company’s services and operations in 2023 and beyond?
Our primary focus lies in providing comprehensive dental implant solutions that enable patients to enjoy a transformed smile within just 72-hours, effectively transitioning from a state of no teeth to having a stable set of fixed teeth in a span of three days.
